A place for me to share my thoughts about the books I read.
The Selection was a fun surprise for me. I loved the plot idea from the beginning and it delivered! It had a lot more flirting and romance that made it a fun read but it wasn’t without its tense and dark moments. It was wonderfully balanced out in its portrayal. The characters I got a lot more attached to. I loved America and her family and even some of the other contestants I came to like. I don't usually make up my mind on who I absolutely choose in a love triangle situation right away I just pick favorites based off of the recent book I read. However, I adore Maxon. He is sweet, shy, hopelessly lost when it comes to girls and such a realistic character by not being perfect in anyway. I definitely recommend this book, specifically to historical/dystopian lovers.
A beautiful Dark was a book I was iffy on in the beginning. I wasn’t sure such an obvious love triangle would be able to be pulled off right. I was happily wrong! I think a big reason I didn’t mind the love triangle was that the plot gave them a very important reason to be there. A lot of books just throw in an unnecessary character just for the love triangle aspect and that is irritating. I big help was that the characters themselves were in no way bland they played there characters perfectly but the whole time you were given hints that there was something more than what they showed. Skye was an amazing character and one that is easy to get attached to along with Cassie. Their friendship was a wonderful addition to the plot. The plot itself was in the background for most of the book but by the end it stands front and center with an emotional ending. Overall I recommend this book to anyone but specifically to paranormal/angel lovers.
Anna Dressed in Blood was a great book! I love ghost stories of any kind but this book was so much more than a ghost story. You feel for the character's and the choices they have to make. The plot was fast paced and entertaining with an ending leaving you wanting more. Overall I recommened this book to anyone, especially to paranormal fans.
Ashes was such a great read! They synopsis was very interesting as it was enough to draw you in and yet it revealed practically nothing of what happened in the actual book, which I loved because it was a complete surprise. The characters were great and you really end up caring what happens to them. The plot seemed pretty straight forward until a big twist is thrown in and after that all bets are off. I can't wait to find out what happens especially after that killer ending! Overall I recommened this book to anyone but especially those who love post-apocolyptic type reads.
The 5th Wave was amazing! The hype over this book is absolutly deserved. Fast paced, gritty and thrilling once you start you will not be able to stop. Cassie and the others were amazingly complex characters that you quickly become attached to in some form or another as they learn what actually matters and how to survive in this new world. This book did switch POV between some characters while focusing mainly on Cassie and the writing stye alternated some but ended up being an aspect that only added to the book instead of being distracting. The plot is what got me. One minute your sure of something and then something is said or pointed out that has you questioning everything the next. I am dying to get my hands on the next book! Overall I recommened this book to anyone!
Linked was a thrilling and unique concept that keeps your attention through out the entire story. I'm not big into science fiction but I really enjoyed this book! The characters were the main focus to me as they got most of my attention. You feel for thems as they struggle through life changing decision after decision. The world was very convincing and nothing felt out of place. The plot itself was not anything ground breaking but had great unique elements that kept you interested in what was happening. Overall I would recommend this book, specifically to science fiction fans.
This is a series review of the Infernal Devices. It is not lost on anyone that Cassandra Clare is an excellent writer. This series is an amazing example of that. I personally loved the Infernal Devices more than the Mortal Instruments. I grew very attached to Will, Jem and Tessa and the ending was very bittersweet. The plot of these books is simply amazing with the subtle way things are hinted at before they happen and it becomes obvious upon looking back. Also the connections to the Mortal Instruments are an interesting factor. I definitely recommend this series!

Faerie Winter was a great sequel to Bones of Faerie! I actually liked this book better than the first. The characters developed throughout the book to a point where I actually became attached to them. You learn more about the characters from the first book and there personalities are shown more. The plot was more action oriented and engaging. Overall I would recommened this book to anyone especially dystopion and fantasy lovers.
The Poison Diaries is probably the most unique story I have read in a while. The plot was mysterious and kept me wondering. The characters were unique and often times seemed to be a shade of gray - neither bad nor good. What really made this book for me was the writing. The writing made this book come alive with it's beautiful descriptions and often times lyrical flow. Every mbook has something special whether it be an amaxing plot or outstanding characters but in the case of The Poison Diaries the writing is what makes everything else seem extrodinary. Overall I would recommened this book.
I don’t usually do series reviews but in this case I read the entire series in a day so this ended up the best way to do it. I can safely say I loved this series! I couldn’t wait to see what happened to all my beloved characters. The plot at times seemed simple but a twist would be thrown in that completely changed things. My favorite thing about this series would be the deep thought and detail that went into explaining and describing the faeries and Avalon itself. This series made faeries seem plausible, an extremely important thing to me when reading about the supernatural. This series was a quick, fun read that I wasn’t expecting to become invested in but was pulled in before I knew it. Overall I would recommend this series.
